Welcome to Eclipse Season! Today at 7 am ET, we experienced a Solar Eclipse at 28° Aquarius. This is the first of two eclipses over the next 2 weeks, so we are officially in the “eclipse portal” that incites transformation and realizations. Today’s eclipse will only be visible to those in Antarctica (Aquarius loves to be niche), but everyone will feel it energetically. So what does it mean to ‘feel’ an eclipse? Let’s break it down.

In the time between two eclipses, aka the eclipse portal (February 17th-March 3rd), things will feel…chaotic. We’re in that messy middle when big changes are starting to take shape, making you feel a bit out of sorts, uncertain, and potentially lacking a sense of control.

The themes of this eclipse include freedom, liberation, independence, and new beginnings. You may be grappling with feeling constricted in some way and get a surge of restlessness that forces you to break free from an oppressive situation or mindset. Pay attention to your thoughts at this time— you may receive revelations about your passions, authenticity, and community. There’s this feeling of wanting to DO something. Journaling during this time can be very revealing about your purpose for the year ahead, as this Solar Eclipse marks the Lunar New Year and the entrance of the year of the Fire Horse. Think: what is your unique gift that you want to share with the world?

Pisces season officially begins on February 18th, changing the vibe from more mentally curious, passionate, and action-oriented, to more emotional, introspective, and gentle. We’re in the midst of many cosmic changes, so use this Pisces season to look within and spend some time taking care of your mental health. Though it may feel like everything is in flux, remember to focus on habits that soothe you— whether that’s meditation, therapy, journaling, or napping.
