The Most Confident Version of You Is Hidden in Your Birth Chart

Let’s talk about confidence.

Let’s talk about confidence.

Not the Instagram version. Not the “fake it till you make it” version. The real kind. The kind that doesn’t evaporate the second something goes wrong.

Most of us treat it like it’s some destination we’ll eventually arrive at. Once I get the job. Once I hit the goal. Once I finally figure my sh*t out. Once I become that more polished, successful, put-together version of myself, then I’ll feel confident.

But then you talk to people (maybe you even became the person) who have the job, the relationship, the followers, the apartment, the whatever-it-is, and you realize they still question themselves too.

Confidence was never about having all the answers. It’s about knowing yourself well enough to trust yourself.

The tricky part is that confidence looks different for everyone. For some people, it’s being bold, loud, and the life of the party. For others, it’s trusting their intuition, creating something meaningful behind the scenes, speaking up when it matters, or honestly, just being comfortable being exactly who they are.

And that’s why we love astrology.

Your birth chart isn't just a personality profile. It's a map of where things come naturally to you: the feelings, activities, and traits that, when you tap into them, unlock the most grounded, authentic, confident version of yourself. Instead of trying to build confidence the way someone else does, what if you learned how to find your version of it?

We asked our expert astrologer, Michelle, to break down exactly where confidence lives in your birth chart, and how to find it when you need it most. 🌟

How to Tap Into Your Confidence Based on Your Birth Chart

By expert astrologer, Michelle Grodnick

Your Birth Chart reveals a lot about your life. It tells the story of your strengths, challenges, and patterns. Every single birth chart has points of tension and points of ease. When people send me their charts, the first thing they almost always ask is: “Am I f*cked?”

You’re not, and you never are. The thing is, there are ALWAYS points of ease in a birth chart; you just have to know where to find them. There places in your chart where things flow and where gifts live quietly, but sometimes they can feel overshadowed by the louder challenges. Today we’re putting a spotlight on those places. The parts of your chart that are actively working for you, even when you’ve forgotten they’re there.

Pull up your birth chart (or get yours free here) and let’s find yours!

The South Node

Let's start with one of the most underrated placements in pop astrology: the Lunar Nodes.

The Nodes are points in space where the path of the sun crosses the path of the moon. It's where eclipses happen. They represent karma, destiny, and transformation. There are two: the North Node (your soul's growth edge, the uphill battle, the thing you're hungry for but have to earn) and the South Node (what comes almost embarrassingly easily to you, because you've already mastered it in past lifetimes).

This is where confidence comes in. If you ever find yourself doubting yourself, it’s a good idea to lean on your South Node to give you the boost that reminds you that things can come easily to you.

Check what sign your South Node is in (you can use Lora’s birth chart generator here for this). The South Node looks like this:

Here’s how each South Node sign can tap into their sense of confidence:

Aries South Node: Tap into your sense of confidence through competition and physicality. Work out, challenge your friend to a race, dance really hard, or join a local sports league.

Taurus South Node: There’s nothing like a new little luxury to make you feel like yourself again. Go to your favorite boutique and pick out one item to treat yourself to. Free version: go into your closet and pick out your yummiest outfit. Put it on and really enjoy wearing your favorite pieces. Bonus for soft or natural fabrics.

Gemini South Node: Call your friend and have a good ‘ole gossip sesh. Chat reality TV, what so-and-so from high school is up to, and trade information and laugh about it. This is not a guilty pleasure, this is literally your confidence ritual. Lean in.

Cancer South Node: You feel most confident at home and with people you’ve known the longest. Nostalgia is your comfort. Watch your favorite childhood movie and make your favorite childhood meal.

Leo South Node: You don’t have a confidence problem, so you don’t need this advice. (JK- when second-guessing creeps in, look at old photos of yourself in moments of big accomplishment and remind yourself how amazing you are).

Virgo South Node: Check something off your to-do list. You need to get a win on the board. Best activities include: closet clean-out, meal prep, and deleting all the unread spam emails in your inbox.

Libra South Node: Write yourself a love note. Get really detailed and name all the things you love about yourself. Adorn it with drawings, stickers, and pretty stationery. Even if you don’t believe what you’re writing in the moment, write as if you were your dream lover. You ARE your dream lover.

Scorpio South Node: Get your tushie to therapy!! Sometimes you just need a gooood deep therapy sesh to release what’s weighing on you. If you don’t have access to a therapist, ask a trustworthy friend if you can vent to them.

Sagittarius South Node: You’re going on an adventure. Yes, Paris sounds great, but what about the museum that’s just 30 minutes away from your house that you’ve been meaning to go to? Immerse yourself in culture, learning, and knowledge. Embark on a voyage where you learn something new. That new piece of knowledge is your nugget of confidence.

Capricorn South Node: Go for a big hike. Your sense of discipline and ambition needs to be physically displayed, and when you get to the top of whatever mountain you’re climbing, you’re going to be so damn proud of yourself. No mountains available? Any long walk, bike, or weightlifting session will do!

Aquarius South Node: Take it to the Reddit threads. Find other people who are experiencing something similar and connect with them to feel seen. You find confidence in community, so find your people any way you can!

Pisces South Node: Have a daydream day. This means allowing yourself total open space to wander free and create. You can paint, vision board, walk streets you’ve never been on, and just live your life in a dream state. Nothing needs to get done or accomplished— you’re just here to experience the magic of the moment.

The Fire Houses

The fire signs are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Fire energy is innately confident. The fire signs take risks, they’re adventurous, and they’re not afraid to be seen. Even if you don’t have any planets in these signs, these signs live in the houses of your chart. The houses represent different areas of life. So if you want to feel a sense of confidence, do something associated with your fire houses. In your birth chart, find where Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius are located.

Here’s how you can find your sense of confidence through your fire houses:

1st House: Take care of your physical body. Give yourself a makeover. Do an everything shower. Or even schedule that doctor’s appointment you’ve been putting off.

2nd House: Do a little budget exercise. Whether it’s checking your credit card statement or going over your monthly expenses, financial transparency is a key to confidence.

3rd House: Sit down and journal. It’s so important that you get your thoughts out on the page. When your confidence is shaky, allow your writing to show you the way.

4th House: This is the space of family, home, and your private life. Spend time with family or the people who feel like family. Cozy up in bed and have a rot day. Allow yourself to focus on yourself and your needs only.

5th House: Creativity is your strong suit. Dance, paint, perform in any way you can. It’s meant to be fun—don’t take it too seriously

6th House: Find a way to be of service in some way. You can volunteer, call a friend who you know is struggling, or just do a small act of kindness for a stranger. Being of service helps you feel free.

7th House: It’s time for you to do some networking. Go to an event with like-minded people where you can meet someone you find interesting. This is all about connection.

8th House: Sometimes you just need to have a good cry. Allow yourself to face whatever is emotionally plaguing you, and just lose yourself in it. Sometimes we need to face the shadows in order to come back into the light.

9th House: You find strength in the classroom. Sign up for a new course, read a book on a topic you’re interested in, or check out a local exhibit. Your thirst for knowledge needs to be quenched.

10th House: Post on social media. You need to be seen. If social media isn’t your thing, send a photo that you love to the group chat and let the likes come pouring in. If that’s not an option, look back on photos that make you feel proud of yourself.

11th House: It’s time to envision the future. Make a vision board or a mind map about how you want your life to look in a year, 5 years, 20 years…The more outrageous the better! Let yourself future trip and expand into all of the possibilities.

12th House: It’s time to get spiritual. Do a long meditation, attend a sound bath, or even pray if that feels right to you. This is about connecting to a force greater than yourself so you can feel an infinite sense of love and abundance.

Supportive Aspects

This is a bit more advanced-level astrology, so if you have questions, tag us in the comments. Astrology is sacred geometry. A birth chart is 360 degrees. It’s important to look at the number of degrees that are between two planets in order to understand how they interact with one another. This is called an aspect.

Below are aspects that help your sense of ease and confidence in your life:

Trines: A trine is when two planets are 120 degrees apart, meaning they are in the same element. When two planets are making a trine aspect, they are supporting each other. They are making a sense of ease between these two energies within you. For example, Mars (motivation) trines Saturn (structure) can give you a great sense of drive, discipline, and structure. Mercury (intellect) trine Jupiter (learning) creates a sense of expanded curiosity and love of learning.

Sextiles: A sextile is when two planets are 60 degrees apart, meaning they are in complementary elements. Earth complements water, and fire complements air. When two planets are making a sextile aspect, there is a sense of creativity and learning because one planet has what the other planet needs in order to find balance. For example, Sun (self-expression) sextile Venus (beauty, art) gives you a sense of creativity when it comes to beauty, art, and performance. Moon (emotions) sextile Mercury (communication), can give you a confident way of expressing your emotional needs.

Conjunctions: Conjunctions are when two planets are zero degrees apart, aka they are sitting together in the same element. Conjunctions aren’t always “easy,” so it depends on the planets involved. For example, a planet conjunct Venus will give it a sense of beauty and harmony. A planet conjunct Jupiter will expand its presence. A planet conjunct the Moon will give it a nurturing energy in your life. A planet conjunct Mars can give it a sense of drive and action. Conjunctions are definitely more chart-dependent, but can be used to boost your confidence when you learn to work with the energy.
